The White House is urging millennials to stay home after reports of more young people being hospitalized with coronavirus. With France reporting 50% of hospitalized coronavirus patients are under the age of 60, it is becoming clear the virus poses a risk even to the young and healthy.
There are reports of beaches at popular spring break and St. Patrick’s Day destinations filled with students who continue to go to bars and the beach despite the urgent warnings to stay home and avoid crowds.

President Trump and White House officials discussed data from South Korea where the highest rates of infection were found among people aged 20-29, because these groups do not consider themselves high risk and continue to attend social gatherings because they feel „invincible“.
Young people attending social gatherings are putting themselves and others at risk by refusing to abide by social distancing guidelines, and the direct risks to young people are higher than most initially thought.
