STAFF at one of Britain’s worst-hit hospitals where one in four coronavirus patients die have said they are „frightened“ in shocking new footage.

Croydon University Hospital was formerly used for caring for elderly orthopaedic patients but is now overwhelmed by patients suffering from the deadly virus.

The hospital, one of the capital’s worst affected, has recently been overloaded with coronavirus patients.
